• Biography

  I am a 34 year-old Filipino scientist. I speak English and Filipino (Tagalog) fluently. My hobbies and recreational interests include visiting parks, taking photographs, and learning about different cultures. My formal academic preparation is primarily on pure mathematics, but I am also interested and currently engaged in several research projects that apply topological data analysis on real-world data. I am also involved in several research projects that use machine- and deep-learning methods for classification tasks in different contexts (health research, plastic pollution, and phytoplankton species identification).
