  • Biography

I am currently a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM). In January 2017 I will begin teaching biology as an Adjunct Instructor at the Pearl River Community College Forrest Co. Center. I am passionate about the ecology and conservation of amphibians and reptiles, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching and interacting with the public.

In my research I use hierarchical occupancy models to investigate the biotic and abiotic variables that influence species occurrence and detection probabilities, as well as molecular techniques to address questions pertaining to the phylogeography and population genetics of of amphibians and reptiles in the Gulf Coastal Plain. I have participated in side projects and collaborations across a variety of fields, including both reproductive and disease ecology as well as systematics.
