    That is such an awesome idea for an undergraduate project, though you would need a lot of hoods!  What kind of cell culture background do your students have prior to entering the class, or do you teach them cell culture from the ground up in the course?

      Thank you for your comment. This is an internship-type research class limited to 3-4 students per professor, max 12 students per semester. Each professor involved in this class has their own scientific project and interests and we only have one hood! but we do have a broad range of projects and needs and, luckily, not all require tissue culture hoods. My students have no tissue culture background but they become quite good by the end of the semester. I will be happy to discuss this further.
