Description
These webpages (http://allthingsamphibian.weebly.com/) were designed by students of the course Natural History of Vertebrates, taught by Dr. Tanya Matlaga in Fall 2015. The goal of the assignment was to expose students to the primary literature by encouraging them to explore in depth one aspect of the ecology and life history of the red backed salamander. Students were asked to summarize four journal articles on their topic and present their work to the class. In all, this assignment created an opportunity for the students to contribute to a class-wide project which produced a larger product than what was possible individually. The final product should be considered a work in progress and is by no means a complete review of the literature for each topic.
