Description
Students will investigate hypothesis testing through field experience with trail cameras. The module requires identification software and dichotomous keys to accurately identify the mammals photographed and utilizes data entry and visualization skills such as Microsoft Excel to create PivotTables and graphs that reveal trends in mammalian behavior and their habitats. Students will enhance their understanding of biodiversity metrics, such as species richness and the Shannon diversity index.
