• Biography

  Jithin is a trained ecologist from the Wildlife Institute of India, interested in ecology, education, media and gender. He has won several accolades for his contributions to ecology, and education. He founded Kerala’s biggest students’ ecological festival, ‘Myristica’, that experimented with a trans-disciplinary approach to formal environmental education. He was a Project Oriented Biology Education Fellow of the Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore; and Principal Investigator of the Royal Society of Chemistry-funded project on inclusion of women in Kerala’s Chemistry field. He believes that a multidisciplinary approach in research and education can lead to effective conservation culture.
