Description
At Johnson County Community College, we have implemented the Tiny Earth Network curriculum across all of our non-majors, allied health Microbiology course. To further opportunities for students that have developed interest in research we have grown our initial Tiny Earth CURE into a non-majors Biochemistry and Organic course as well as multiple independent research projects. In addition, we have developed a CURE Symposium at JCCC to provide opportunities for students participating in CUREs at JCCC an opportunity to present their research. The video highlights how we implement Tiny Earth and provides highlights of other opportunities at our institution. In addition to the video, we have uploaded an example of independent research done by students after participating in the CURE courses.
