BIOME Fall Working Groups

Our BIOME Group worked towards developing a set of learning goals for faculty who plan to launch a CURE based on RNA-Seq data. We also developed a workflow for analysis of either prokaryotic or eukaryotic RNA-Seq data with existing tools.

In this Faculty Mentoring Network we will examine the historical practice of redlining, and how social and economic factors over the last century have created disparities in environmental conditions in our urban communities.

This working group collaborated on content and pedagogy surrounding the use of Cell Collective to integrate computational modeling and simulation into undergraduate biology curriculum.

Avida-ED is a digital evolution software program that allows students to ask questions and test hypotheses related to evolutionary concepts. Our working group explored how to incorporate Avida-ED into undergraduate biology courses.
