Description
Long distance running isn’t just about the training. There is a lot of strategy that goes into racing a long distance event. One general strategy most long distance runners follow is attempting to run the same speed for the entire race. This activity looks at data from long distance running, focusing on the idea of running the same speed for the entire race.
This module is part of a collection of educational materials developed for use in teacher workshops and classrooms. The target student audience is listed on each file. These activities include a combination of math concepts and biology applications, ranging from elementary school to Algebra 1 level.
