This document contains the student learning outcomes that guide the development of curriculum produced by the Biologists and Graph Interpretation (BioGraphI) Network and the survey instrument used to assess the curriculum. Survey items are adapted from previously published instruments.

Description

This resource helps BioGraphI Faculty Mentoring Network (FMN) participants assess the student learning outcomes of the BioGraphI module they create.

BioGraphI modules address data literacy while fostering diversity in undergraduate biology classrooms. They are lessons about graph and data interpretation, featuring the scientific contributions of biologists who are members of historically excluded groups (HEGs). The video interviews with these biologists allow students to hear directly from HEGs about their discoveries.
