Biology and mathematics in early education are often presented as two distinct entities. The strength of both disciplines becomes highlighted when combined to create the cryptic study of biomathematics. During this talk I will discuss my path to mathematic biology through my unusual undergraduate program. The discussion will highlight moments when specific incorporation of biomathematics acted as a tipping point in my success as a developing mathematical biologist. Finally I will address the hindsight into what would’ve been beneficial to change and improve my experiences with biomathematics education.
