• Biography

  I am the Professor of Microbiology and Life Sciences at Redlands Community College where I teach a variety of classes including microbiology, anatomy, zoology, and methodologies in research. I enjoy this variety and the ability to implement different teaching methods to enhance the given subject. I received my B.S. in Zoology and M.S. in Biology from the University of Oklahoma where my research focused on better understanding the effects of toxic algae on zooplankton populations. I have always had a great interest in aquatic organisms and enjoy sharing that passion with students. I am excited to begin, along with my research students, new investigations into freshwater sponges in Oklahoma and the variables that affect distributions.
